About:

I'm filipino, spanish, chinese, and scottish. I grew up more the filipino way though. When I make my posts, I do try to be as unappropriative as possible. Sometimes I will get no context to a photo, which can be frustrating. I love traveling, and do get annoyed at some hipter trends. I find beauty in many things. I find no beauty in turnining cultures once assimilated into trends. I think things should be represented as they are and should be. I think culture is a beautiful thing, but just because a person is oh, lets say ethnically Filipino, doesn't mean that they are Filipino by culture. Culture is a learned and practiced concept. A person isn't born automatically learning a language just because of their ethnic background. You learn it and practice it. Just because I have my culture does not mean that I HAVE to necessarily obey its values because there ARE things I think that aren't right and good. Sometimes people can get so collectivist when it comes to growing up in a culture, when a person should know they are more than a culture: they are a human....I hope to see more balance in issues like that.
